Billy passed away suddenly at home on 18th May 2023 after a long illness. He played hooker for Bangor during the 70's and was part of the very successful 1st XV that won many Senior League, Senior Cup, and Boston Cup titles during this period.

He was the much loved husband of Elaine, dearly loved father of Nicola, step-father of Jane, father-in-law of Phil and Nick, brother of Anna, brother-in-law of Chuck and loving grandfather of Jamie and Ted. Bangor RF&CC extends its deepest sympathy to the Billy's family.
