Roger Corbett4 Jan 2023 - 09:07

We received the following letter of thanks from PIPS in response to the great fundraising efforts made by our Topless Carol Singers

Donation to PIPS Charity – Bangor Rugby Club Topless Carol Singing

We are very humbled to receive the generous donation of £3534.33 and would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part, for helping to support PIPS Charity. Many of our staff and volunteers commented on how well you all done especially when the weather seemed to throw everything at you. We are all really grateful to you for choosing PIPS Charity as the recipient of the funds raised and what an amount! Well done all.

We believe that every person in Northern Ireland deserves the right to free, accessible mental health services which enables them to live their lives productively and give hope for a brighter future. With your donation, together, we can help make sure more clients live safe, happy and healthy productive lives. As a small Northern Ireland charity working locally with people who are living with suicidal thoughts, self-harm and mental unwellness we really appreciate all the support we get to offer our services and I am delighted that your donation will support our work in creating a compassionate society free from suicide.

We continue to provide face to face services throughout these uncertain financial times. We have and will continue to strive to be a source of support for those who need it. With the kind generosity of donations like yours we are able to continue offering our services to those who now more than ever need us.

PIPS receive all of its income from generous public donations, we do not receive any government financial support and are only able to continue providing our services with the help of our large and increasing number of volunteer counsellors and kind donations, such as yours.

We work exclusively to provide crisis support for those who are contemplating suicide in Northern Ireland. We provide free of charge counselling services, a crisis walk in/open door policy with no appointment needed and accept self-referrals. We offer complimentary therapies, and befriending. If you feel you or anyone you know would like to avail of this support, please do contact us on 0800 088 6042. Our staff are here to help, all our services are free, private and confidential. Your donation will be used to help us continue to provide support services throughout Northern Ireland – Thank you.

The comments below are from people who have used our services and express how we can help and support people who are desperate to feel better:

“Opening up and talking about my trauma has been one of the hardest things to do, but it’s given me hope, something I never had before I came to PIPS” Erin, 27

“I came to PIPS feeling like an old penny, and left feeling like a million dollars”
“I couldn’t see my way ahead, now I can – thank you” John, 45

Very many thanks for your continued support, it means a great deal to us and I am deeply appreciative of this donation especially for the clients that we can continue to help, it will help us continue to save lives.
